Choosing appointment confirmation and rescheduling links: what to test

Ogedex editorial team · · Read in Portuguese

Test confirmation, full service duration, cancellations and the front-desk result rather than judging an appointment link only by how quickly it opens.

A link should resolve the appointment state

A link that opens a conversation is different from a link that confirms or changes an appointment. Test what happens after the client clicks and what reception sees afterward. A written reply saying “confirmed” should not be assumed to update the calendar.

Check the rules for each state: requested, approved, confirmed, canceled or completed. Visitors should not be able to misinterpret a request as a guaranteed appointment.

Run a complete fictional booking

  • Create a fictional service with a known duration.
  • Open the client-facing confirmation link.
  • Try moving the appointment to a suitable opening.
  • Check the original slot remains protected until the change is completed.
  • Confirm reception can identify the final date and status.
  • Test cancellation and an unavailable time as well as the happy path.

The whole service must fit

Fictional example: a 45-minute service cannot fit into a 30-minute gap. An attractive interface is not enough if it offers impossible appointments. Check service duration, professional eligibility, working hours and unavailable periods.

After a move, inspect the appointment from both sides. Look for duplicate reservations, unclear status messages or an old reminder that still refers to the previous time. Decide who reviews changes that need human attention.

What Ogedex does

Ogedex provides client appointment links with actions governed by the appointment state and business rules. Staff can follow the schedule and relevant notices. WhatsApp QR connectivity is separate from these link actions and is not proof of automatic confirmation from chat replies.

Choose on the basis of a small verified workflow, not the word “automatic” in an advertisement. Do not send real client tokens or private appointment links to analytics, public screenshots or search engines during evaluation.
