Scheduling mobile nail appointments without losing travel time
Ogedex editorial team · · Read in Portuguese
Reserve the full visit, setup and travel between nail appointments so a free-looking calendar gap does not become an impossible promise.
The nail service is only part of the visit
A mobile nail appointment may include travel, parking, carrying equipment, setup and packing away. If the calendar reserves only hands-on service time, the next client may be offered an opening you cannot reach. Base the schedule on your observed routine rather than an ideal journey.
Ask for enough location information to plan the visit, but do not publish a client’s home address on a business page. Keep access instructions within an appropriate private channel.
Group by area without promising route optimization
Fictional example: a service ends at 11:00 a.m. and the next client lives across town. An 11:00 a.m. booking is not feasible simply because the service block has ended. Allow travel and preparation time and explain any uncertainty before confirming.
Grouping visits by area can reduce unnecessary movement, but actual travel varies. Recheck your plan when the location, service or transport conditions change. A calendar is not automatically a routing engine.
Configure clear administrative blocks
- Use separate services when their durations differ.
- Reserve travel and unavailable periods explicitly.
- Check the full day before accepting another address.
- Tell clients whether their chosen time is a request or a confirmation.
- When a visit moves, review both neighboring appointments.
Using Ogedex on the move
Ogedex provides services with durations, professional calendars and time blocks. Use those tools to represent the time you cannot offer online, then compare the public openings against your own travel plan. It does not calculate a route or guarantee an arrival estimate.
Test two fictional visits in different areas before advertising the link. When a client reschedules, update the shared calendar and the travel blocks, not just the private conversation. Keep a single authoritative schedule so another staff member cannot offer an opening already needed for transit.
